Taiwan Stocks Rise 1276.31 Points

(CNA Taipei, June 22) The Taipei stock market opened higher and closed higher today, rising 1276.31 points to 47741.51 points, an increase of 2.75%, with a transaction value of NT$1.441468 trillion.

The weighted index opened at 46679.57 points, reaching a high of 47871.19 points and a low of 46679.57 points during the session; the index excluding financial stocks was 42986.33 points, up 1272.79 points.

Percentage changes in the eight major stock categories: Cement and pottery stocks rose 2.94%, food stocks fell 0.52%, petrochemical stocks rose 4.38%, textile stocks fell 0.37%, machinery and electrical stocks rose 3.24%, paper stocks fell 0.64%, construction stocks fell 3.01%, and financial stocks fell 0.81%.

Buy orders were 25,866,971 shares, sell orders were 19,238,507 shares, and transactions were 15,524,158 shares.

At the close, 544 stocks rose, 472 fell, and 88 remained unchanged.

The top 5 stocks by transaction volume were Innolux, Winbond Electronics, Active Unified Upgrade 50, CMO, and AUO.

The top 5 stocks by percentage increase were Nomura Rare Earth Key Resources, G-tek, F-tech, G-tech, and Changguang.

The top 5 stocks by percentage decrease were T.A.I., Dongyang, H.S.H. -KY, Hsin Tung, and Dali. 1150622
