(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 22) The Kuomintang (KMT) announced today that Yin Nai-ching's resignation as chairperson of the Culture and Communications Committee has been approved due to personal career planning. Chen Yi-hsin, deputy executive director of the Policy Committee, will succeed her. The party looks forward to leveraging Chen Yi-hsin's expertise and experience in policy discourse, international affairs, and media communication to integrate the party's policy communication capabilities and strengthen external discourse and social dialogue.

On May 27, Yin Nai-ching stated that she had resigned as chairperson of the Culture and Communications Committee on May 12 due to health reasons, submitting her resignation to Party Chairperson Cheng Li-wen. The KMT announced today through a press release that Yin Nai-ching's resignation has been approved due to personal career planning, and Chen Yi-hsin will succeed her.

The KMT pointed out that Chen Yi-hsin possesses extensive experience in international affairs, policy research, and media communication. He has served as a legislator in the 10th Legislative Yuan, spokesperson for the Presidential Office, spokesperson for the KMT and deputy chairperson of the Culture and Communications Committee, director of the International Affairs Department, director of the Overseas Department, and deputy executive director of the Policy Committee. He has long been involved in national policy, international exchange, and public discourse work. Academically, he graduated from National Taiwan University with a degree in Political Science and obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He has also conducted research at the University of Cambridge and the University of London in the United Kingdom.

The KMT stated that Taiwan is currently facing rapid changes in the international landscape and significant domestic policy challenges. The party looks forward to leveraging Chen Yi-hsin's expertise and experience in policy discourse, international affairs, and media communication to integrate the party's policy communication capabilities and strengthen external discourse and social dialogue, thereby more effectively conveying the KMT's proposals to the general public.
