7 PLA warships, 20 aircraft encroach on Taiwan's ADIZ, military monitors

Taipei, June 22 (CNA) The Ministry of National Defense announced the People's Liberation Army's aircraft and naval activities on Thursday, reporting that from 6 a.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, 7 PLA warships, 5 coast guard vessels, and 20 PLA aircraft were detected encroaching on Taiwan's Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) in the northern and southwestern areas, crossing the median line. The military is closely monitoring and responding with its aircraft, naval vessels, and shore-based missile systems.

The Ministry of National Defense released the PLA's aircraft and naval activities on Thursday morning, reporting that from 6 a.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, 7 PLA warships, 5 coast guard vessels, and 23 PLA aircraft were detected. Among them, 20 PLA aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait median line and encroached on the northern and southwestern airspaces.
