Pramerica Securities Investment Trust fund manager Kao Hao-chih analyzed that Taiwan's importance in the global technology supply chain is continuously increasing. He cited a June statistic from foreign investment bank Goldman Sachs, stating that AI-related companies account for over 80% of the MSCI Taiwan Index's weighting. Among these, semiconductors account for a high of 68%, and hardware accounts for about 17%, reflecting the importance of the technology industry to the Taiwan stock market and highlighting Taiwan's key position in global AI infrastructure and supply chain upgrades.
Pramerica Securities Investment Trust believes that with the rapid development of the global AI industry, corporate profits in Taiwan are growing. This wave of gains in the Taiwan stock market is not solely driven by speculation but is supported by strong fundamentals of profit growth. From the perspective of international capital, Taiwan has become the core market for AI investment in North Asia, driving long-term upward momentum for the Taiwan stock market.
