According to CNA reporter Yang Shu-min, Taipei, June 22 — Reports emerged of a temporary suspension on Taipei Metro's Bannan Line tonight. Taipei Metro Company clarified that there was no suspension. At 8:28 p.m., a train operator traveling from Banqiao toward Nangang Exhibition Center reported smoke ahead. After inspection, the train passed through at reduced speed. A full inspection will be conducted after operations end.

Taipei Metro explained that at 8:28 p.m., an operator on the train from Banqiao Station toward Nangang Exhibition Center reported smoke approximately 30 meters ahead along the trackside. Upon inspection, only scorch marks were found above the third rail cover, with no other abnormalities detected.

The company emphasized that trains did not stop. Subsequent trains passed through slowly while monitoring the situation. The next train arrived about two minutes later to pick up passengers.
