(Central News Agency, Taipei, June 23) The Ministry of Justice's Administrative Enforcement Agency announced today that since its establishment in 2001, the cumulative amount collected has exceeded 700 billion New Taiwan dollars. Minister of Justice Zheng Ming-chian stated that this is a very beautiful report card for the Enforcement Agency in its 25 years of operation, and 70 billion will not be the end, but a new beginning.
The Administrative Enforcement Agency held the "Seeing Justice, Enforcing Love Together – Administrative Enforcement Performance Breakthrough of 700 Billion Achievement Presentation and Benchmark Learning Exchange Activity" today at the Chang Yung-fa Foundation, inviting representatives from judicial organs and central and local referring agencies to witness an important milestone in the development of the administrative enforcement system.
Zheng Ming-chian presided over the event and first presented the "Administrative Enforcement Business Excellence Benchmark Award" in three categories. The Taipei Branch and Hsinchu Branch received the "Seeing Justice Award"; the Kaohsiung Branch and Changhua Branch received the "Enforcing Love Together Award"; and the New Taipei Branch and Shilin Branch received the "Innovation Pioneer Award," commending the branches for their outstanding performance in enforcement efficiency, humanistic care, and innovative services.
In his speech, Zheng Ming-chian emphasized that the administrative enforcement system shoulders the important mission of maintaining national fiscal discipline and social order. The taxes, national health insurance fees, labor insurance fees, and various administrative fines collected are all important resources supporting public construction, social welfare, and government administration. This achievement not only represents the effective realization of state claims but also signifies that through the administrative enforcement system, legal norms are truly implemented, ensuring social order and fairness and justice.
Zheng Ming-chian also reminded that administrative enforcement is not solely focused on performance figures. During the enforcement process, emphasis is placed on both professionalism and empathy. For obligors facing economic difficulties or life hardships, assistance such as installment payments, deferred enforcement, and integration with social welfare resources is provided. Administrative enforcement also integrates prevention and guidance mechanisms, such as establishing a referral platform for alcohol addiction treatment for drunk driving obligors to assist in rehabilitation.
Zheng Ming-chian stated that in the face of rapid digital technology development, the Administrative Enforcement Agency is actively promoting digital transformation, aligning with the Ministry of Justice's policy of building trustworthy legal sovereign AI. It is introducing information analysis and artificial intelligence application technologies to enhance case management and enforcement efficiency, and strengthening information sharing and resource integration through cross-agency cooperation mechanisms.
Zheng Ming-chian added that the award-winning benchmark teams demonstrated achievements in technology application and innovative services, not only improving enforcement quality and efficiency but also fully embodying the core values of "Seeing Justice," "Enforcing Love Together," and "Innovation Pioneer."
The witnessing ceremony for this event saw Zheng Ming-chian, Administrative Enforcement Agency Director General Miao Tso-jan, Supreme Prosecutors Office Acting Chief Prosecutor Hsu Hsi-hsiang, Taiwan High Prosecutors Office Chief Prosecutor Chang Tou-hui, and Taipei District Prosecutors Office Chief Prosecutor Wang Chun-li ascend the stage for a light pillar witnessing ceremony to mark the breakthrough of administrative enforcement performance to 700 billion New Taiwan dollars.
The Administrative Enforcement Agency stated that the light pillar's radiance symbolizes the energy of justice and enforcement love, transforming into a driving force for continuous social progress and opening a new chapter for administrative enforcement. (Editor: Chang Ming-kun) 1150623
