Paper Windmill Theatre Group Heads to Hualien for 3 Days of Campus Performances Starting June 26

HUALIEN, Taiwan (CNA) - The "Paper Windmill 368 Townships Children's Art Project - Sustainable Voyage" will perform "Taiwan Fantasia" on campus in Hualien for three consecutive days starting June 26. Performances will be held at 7 PM at Zhuoxi Elementary School in the south, Ruishui Elementary School in the central district, and Zhongyuan Elementary School in Hualien City.

"Taiwan Fantasia" is a classic work divided into five segments. "Don Quixote" encourages children to bravely pursue their dreams; "Body Etude" combines physical movements with world-famous paintings, showcasing strength and beauty; "The Counterattack of Leftover Food" promotes cherishing food through joyful interaction; "Angels of the Back Mountains" tells the story of Dr. David Wilson, the founding president of Hualien Christian Hospital; and "Joy of Celebration" is a nighttime black light show.

The Hualien County Government stated that to reduce the gap in artistic and cultural resources between urban and rural areas, they are collaborating with the Paper Windmill Cultural Foundation for a touring performance. The performances will be staged on campus playgrounds with theater-level specifications, allowing students to enjoy high-quality performing arts nearby, fostering aesthetic literacy and creative thinking. Admission to all performances is free and open to the public.

The Paper Windmill Cultural Foundation stated that the three performances in Hualien are all sponsored by corporations. The Zhuoxi performance is sponsored by Tuohe Engineering Co., Ltd., the Ruishui performance by Asustek Computer Chairman Ted Hsu, and the Zhongyuan performance by Chuang Cheng Law Offices.

The performance times for all three events are 7 PM. The locations are the Zhuoxi Elementary School playground on June 26, the Ruishui Elementary School playground on June 27, and the Zhongyuan Elementary School playground on June 28.
