Taiwan Stocks Rise 211.66 Points

(CNA Taipei, 25th) The Taipei stock market opened high and fluctuated today, closing up 211.66 points at 46255.26 points, an increase of 0.46%, with a transaction value of NT$1.309394 trillion.

The weighted index opened at 46339.68 points, reaching a high of 46785.45 points and a low of 46048.7 points during the session; the index excluding financial stocks was 41544.43 points, up 151.83 points.

Percentage changes for the eight major stock categories: Cement and ceramic stocks rose 0.61%, food stocks rose 0.68%, petrochemical stocks rose 0.5%, textile stocks rose 0.24%, machinery and electrical stocks rose 0.38%, paper stocks fell 1.2%, construction stocks fell 0.26%, and financial stocks rose 1.56%.

Buy orders were 22,968,094 shares, sell orders were 17,248,609 shares, and transactions were 13,305,901 shares.

At the close, 424 stocks advanced, 578 declined, and 97 remained unchanged.

The top 5 stocks by transaction volume were Innolux, Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing, AU Optronics, UMC, and KGI Taiwan Active.

The top 5 stocks by percentage increase were T-Global Technology, L.S. Starred, Brightek Opto-Electronic, Lier-Tech, and Etron Technology.

The top 5 stocks by percentage decrease were Ulon, TFB-KY, Yuanta Brent Crude Oil Futures ETF, General Interface Solution, and Uniprec.
