(CNA Caracas, March 25, Comprehensive Foreign News) Venezuela experienced a series of strong earthquakes last night. Venezuelan Acting President Delcy Rodriguez stated this morning that at least 32 people have died and over 700 have been injured.

The Associated Press reported that Rodriguez warned the death toll is expected to rise. Venezuela was hit by magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 earthquakes last night. Rescue workers continue to search collapsed buildings, and emergency personnel are rushing to severely affected areas.

Rodriguez said La Guaira appears to be the most severely affected state.

Agence France-Presse reported that she stated in a national address, "We have currently received reports of 32 deaths and over 700 injured." She also said that data from the La Guaira region has not yet been received. (Compiled by Lu Ying-tzu) 1150625
