The National Sports Training Center (NTC) held a board meeting where Chairman Lin Hung-tao officially tendered his resignation. Following the announcement, Lin visited the NTC today to encourage the Asian Games training team, urging athletes and coaches to maintain focus for the upcoming Nagoya Asian Games in September.

Lin assumed the role of NTC Chairman in March of this year, but surprise reports of his resignation emerged on June 15, which were subsequently confirmed by the Sports Administration. During the board meeting held on June 23, Lin formally submitted his resignation.

According to the NTC’s articles of organization, CEO Chao Shih-chiang also expressed his intent to step down in solidarity with Lin during the June 23 meeting. The NTC plans to complete the leadership transition once a new chairman is appointed.

The board acknowledged their positions while expressing a desire for them to remain, hoping they would continue to assist in driving organizational operations to ensure stability.

During his visit today, Lin expressed gratitude for the dedication shown toward national competitive sports development and encouraged the entire team to stay focused on training and strive for excellence in the upcoming Nagoya Asian Games.

Olympic women's boxing gold medalist Lin Yu-ting and All England Open men's singles champion Lin Chun-yi presented flowers and souvenirs on behalf of the athletes to thank Lin for his support of the national team and the advancement of competitive sports.
