Kinmen, June 25 (CNA) — Kinmen police recently dismantled an organized crime group responsible for a series of vandalism attacks on local KTV establishments. Following an intensive investigation and surveillance operation, authorities apprehended the group's alleged ringleader, surnamed Hong, and five other members. The suspects have been referred to the Kinmen District Prosecutors Office on charges including violation of the Organized Crime Prevention Act.

The Jincheng Precinct of the Kinmen County Police Bureau stated today that a dedicated task force, in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Brigade and the Jinhu Precinct, was formed under the direction of local prosecutors to address the incidents. Investigations revealed that the group, led by Hong, frequently resorted to violent destruction of commercial property, severely impacting local public order and social tranquility.

Following comprehensive evidence collection, police executed search and arrest warrants granted by the court and prosecutors. The operation successfully apprehended all six members of the group. Officers also seized evidence at the scene, including baseball bats and iron rods used in the attacks. The suspects now face charges of obstructing public order, intimidation, and property damage under the Criminal Code, and prosecutors have been requested to seek their detention.
