Taipei City Continues Warning of Potential Heavy Rainfall, Urges Vulnerable Areas to Be Cautious

(CNA Reporter Yang Shumin Taipei, June 29) Recent heavy rainfall caused localized flooding in parts of Neihu, drawing attention. The Taipei City Disaster Prevention and Response Office today continued to issue information stating that the Central Weather Administration has issued a heavy rain advisory for Taipei City and many other counties and cities, and strong rainfall may still occur. It reminds vulnerable areas to be cautious.

In response to the recent heavy rainfall and flooding, and the incident yesterday where a large boulder smashed through the already closed Yuanshan Bowling Alley, the Taipei City Disaster Prevention and Response Office today continued to issue weather forecasts, reminding the public to be vigilant.

The Disaster Prevention and Response Office pointed out that due to the vigorous development of convective cloud systems, the Central Weather Administration has already issued a heavy rain advisory for Taipei City and many other counties and cities, warning of the possibility of localized heavy rain or short-term intense rainfall. Attention should be paid to lightning and strong gusts. Mountain areas should be cautious of landslides, falling rocks, and rising streams, while low-lying areas should be cautious of flooding.
