(CNA reporter Huang Li-yun, Taipei, June 29) Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) Nangang Station experienced an unexplained discharge from its machine room foam equipment today, causing a large amount of white foam to overflow onto the road. The Taipei City Fire Department was notified this afternoon and immediately dispatched personnel to the scene to assist with the cleanup. The detailed cause is pending further investigation.

The Fire Department received a report this afternoon that the machine room foam equipment at THSR Nangang Station discharged for unknown reasons, causing a large amount of foam to cover the road, approximately 15 meters wide and 20 meters long. Personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene to assist with the cleanup. A cordon was set up at the scene, and traffic control was provided in cooperation with the police to prevent further accidents. The detailed cause of the incident is still under investigation.
