CCP Marks 105th Anniversary with Official Concert Event

(CNA Taipei, June 30) This year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and Chinese authorities are planning related commemorative activities. According to Chinese state media CCTV News, a concert related to the CCP's 105th anniversary was held in Beijing last night, with CCP General Secretary Xi Jinping and six other Politburo Standing Committee members attending along with 3,000 audience members.

According to Chinese state media CCTV News, the concert titled "People First" was held in Beijing yesterday evening. Attending the concert were members of the CCP Central Committee Politburo, members of the Central Secretariat, Vice Chairmen of the Central Military Commission, Vice Chairmen of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, State Councilors, President of the Supreme People's Court, Procurator-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and Vice Chairmen of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Beijing.

Also attending the concert were principal officials from various departments of the CCP Central Committee, government, military, and mass organizations, as well as Beijing municipality; representatives of the central committees of democratic parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and non-partisan individuals; representatives of recipients of honors and commendations; representatives of veteran party members and cadres; representatives of foreign experts working in China; representatives of grassroots party members and people from all walks of life in the capital; and representatives of officers and soldiers from troops stationed in Beijing.

The CCP is scheduled to hold a "Grand Ceremony to Celebrate the 105th Anniversary of the Founding of the Party" on July 1, where Xi Jinping will present the "July 1 Medal" to recipients and deliver a speech. (Editor: Lu Jia-rong / Zhu Jian-ling) 1150630
