Taiwan Stocks Rise 1126.01 Points

(CNA Taipei, 30th) The Taiwan stock market opened higher and closed higher today, rising 1126.01 points to 46125.91 points, an increase of 2.5%, with a transaction value of NT$1.203323 trillion.

The weighted index opened at 45165.8 points, reaching a high of 46637.86 points and a low of 45165.8 points during the session; the index excluding financial stocks was 41513.48 points, up 1100.47 points.

Percentage changes for the eight major stock categories: Cement and ceramics stocks rose 3.25%, food stocks fell 0.85%, petrochemical stocks rose 4.13%, textile stocks fell 0.98%, machinery and electrical stocks rose 2.85%, paper stocks fell 0.38%, construction stocks rose 0.54%, and financial stocks fell 0.09%.

Buy orders were 22,157,985 shares, sell orders were 16,424,443 shares, and transaction volume was 12,976,240 shares.

At the close, 781 stocks advanced, 243 declined, and 79 remained unchanged.

The top 5 stocks by transaction volume were AUO, Innolux, Taiwan 50 Uplift 50, Yuanta Taiwan 50 Plus 2, and UMC.

The top 5 stocks by percentage gain were Fubon Apple Plus 2N, Nanya Technology, Taiwan Glass, Qisda, and Gintech Energy.
