(CNA, Kaohsiung, June 30) - The children's amusement park, transformed from the former TRA Kaohsiung Depot, is nearing completion. Mayor Chen Chi-mai announced today that it is scheduled to open on August 8. The main area is approximately 1.5 hectares and features over 30 facilities suitable for all age groups.

Chen Chi-mai stated in a media interview during a city government meeting today that the children's amusement park, transformed from the TRA Kaohsiung Depot, is nearing completion and is expected to open on August 8, coinciding with the summer vacation. The park will have many rides suitable for all age groups, aiming to create the most comfortable family space.

Lin Tsan-ming, Director of Kaohsiung City Parks Department, said the park's main area is about 1.5 hectares and includes over 30 facilities, such as swings, slides, high-altitude cable facilities, cloud trampolines, and water play areas, all accessible to people of all ages.

In addition, the park will feature TRA-themed covered wagons and stalls, offering food for visitors. Regarding the expected opening hours, Lin Tsan-ming mentioned that internal discussions are ongoing, but it is anticipated to be from 9 AM to 7 PM.

The former TRA Kaohsiung Depot is located at the border of Lingya and Fengshan districts in Kaohsiung. Following the relocation of depot facilities to Chaozhou, Pingtung, the original site became idle. The city government planned to revitalize the area by developing a family amusement park.
