(London, July 1) - Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka continued her strong start at the Wimbledon Championships today, defeating Russian qualifier Anastasia Gasanova 6-3, 6-2 in the second round to advance to the third round of Wimbledon.

According to Reuters, the 14th seed Naomi Osaka arrived at the court today, having swapped her stunning "Kill Bill" inspired white kimono from the first round for a more understated skirt ensemble, paired with a decorative belt, a trailing skirt, and a bomber jacket.

Besides her eye-catching outfit, her game showed no signs of being hampered by her fashion choices.

Osaka, a four-time Grand Slam champion, easily won the first set and went all out in the second. She secured a crucial break point with a powerful overhead smash to take a 4-2 lead, and maintained her advantage to reach the third round of Wimbledon for the fourth time in her career.

She will face either Australian Daria Kasatkina or Indonesia's Janice Tjen in the third round, aiming to reach the Wimbledon Round of 16 for the first time. However, she mentioned that something else is currently on her mind.

"Tomorrow is my daughter's 3rd birthday. I just want to stay here a little longer, I don't want her to have to fly home on her birthday," she said.

"Of course, I still have to practice in the morning, but maybe we can go for a walk in the park afterwards. She likes making friends, so we'll probably do that." (Compiled by Hung Pei-ying) 1150701
