China Airlines Charity Badminton Camp Lands in Kinmen, All England Champion Lin Chun-yi Shares Skills

(CNA, Taipei, July 1) China Airlines held a charity badminton camp at Kinmen Zhongzheng Elementary School today, expanding its sports outreach to the outlying islands for the first time. The camp invited Lin Chun-yi, the 2026 All England Open Badminton Championships men's singles champion, to serve as a coach, imparting professional techniques up close and encouraging students to bravely pursue their dreams with his own journey.

Lin Chun-yi, known as the "left-handed heavy artillery," first claimed victory at the India Open in January and then won the All England Open in March, not only achieving a personal milestone but also setting a new record for Taiwanese men's singles.

China Airlines stated in a press release that the opening ceremony of the badminton camp featured a ceremonial first serve and rally between China Airlines President Chen Han-ming and Lin Chun-yi, marking the commencement of the event. Lin Chun-yi then personally led the instruction, guiding participants step-by-step from warm-ups, basic singles and doubles techniques, to advanced training in footwork and swing mechanics, providing key insights and tactical advice.

During the "Challenge Star Lin Chun-yi" interactive segment, student representatives took turns playing against Lin Chun-yi in a friendly match, igniting the atmosphere and creating precious memories for the students of sparring with a champion star.

Lin Chun-yi shared his personal growth experiences, saying, "I'm very happy to meet everyone at the China Airlines Badminton Camp. Seeing all your hard work and smiles reminds me of the journey I've taken."

Lin Chun-yi expressed his hope that everyone will continue to love badminton and not be afraid of falling, stating, "Every day you improve a little, you get one step closer to your dream. And remember to enjoy the process, because happiness is the best motivation for progress."

Chen Han-ming pointed out that holding the badminton camp at Kinmen Zhongzheng Elementary School is a practical implementation of corporate social responsibility.
