(CNA Reporter Li Tsung-hsien, Bangkok, July 1) EVA Air celebrated the 35th anniversary of its Taipei-Bangkok route today at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, welcoming passengers alongside the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). EVA Air stated that this route not only connects Taiwan and Thailand but has also become an important bridge promoting bilateral tourism, business, and cultural exchange.
EVA Air said in a press release that Bangkok is one of its earliest international destinations. "After 35 years of development, EVA Air now flies to approximately 60 cities worldwide and has received numerous international accolades for its service quality, safety, and operational performance."
EVA Air pointed out that the Boeing aircraft operating the Taipei-Bangkok round-trip flights BR211 and BR212 today were specially adorned with a Hello Kitty livery, symbolizing the flight memories accumulated by EVA Air and its passengers over the past 35 years. Upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok today, EVA Air prepared commemorative gifts and activities to welcome passengers.
The celebration was jointly organized by EVA Air's Thailand branch, Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). Representatives including AOT's Kannika Premprasert and TAT's Deputy Executive Director for Asia and South Pacific Markets, Pattaranong Na Chiangmai, attended the event.
