Dragons Implement Entry Security Check Mechanism at Tianmu Home Stadium to Ensure Spectator Safety

(CNA, Reporter Hsieh Ching-wen, Taipei, July 1) The Wei Chuan Dragons of the Chinese Professional Baseball League announced today in a press release that starting from the second half of the season, Tianmu Baseball Stadium will officially implement an "Entry Security Check Mechanism" to comprehensively strengthen entry management measures and ensure the safety of spectators.

Chinese Professional Baseball has makeup games scheduled for today and tomorrow, with the second half of the season set to begin on July 3rd. The Dragons stated in a press release today that to provide fans with a safer and more secure viewing environment, while also safeguarding the personal safety of on-site staff and event personnel, the Tianmu Baseball Stadium will officially implement an "Entry Security Check Mechanism" starting from the second half of the 2026 season. Tianmu Baseball Stadium will become the first outdoor stadium in Taiwan to implement regular security checks.

The Dragons indicated that this security check system is planned with reference to the standards for the Taipei Dome in Chinese Professional Baseball. It will conduct security checks on all entering fans, using equipment and personnel to reduce the risk of dangerous items being brought in and to strengthen on-site safety management.

The entry process will adopt a three-stage security check mechanism, sequentially involving inspection of personal belongings, metal detector screening, and ticket verification for entry, to ensure order and overall safety. Security personnel will be stationed at all stadium entrances and exits, with police assistance provided when necessary.

In addition, the team will announce prohibited items on its official platforms before each game. Fans are requested to cooperate with these regulations in advance to improve entry efficiency and shorten waiting times.
