(CNA reporter Kuo Hsuan-lin Hsinchu County July 2) The Zhubei Precinct of the Hsinchu County Police Bureau announced today that a police officer surnamed Wang, who was recently on duty providing security and maintenance for the official residence of Hsinchu County Governor Yang Wen-ko, has been reported for allowing an unauthorized woman to enter. The officer will face severe disciplinary action according to law, including a demerit or higher.

The Zhubei Precinct released a press statement today stating that a citizen reported police officer Wang for alleged misconduct. Upon receiving the report, an administrative investigation was initiated, and Officer Wang was reassigned from his post at the governor's residence to maintain duty discipline and public perception.

Police stated that the investigation confirmed Officer Wang violated relevant regulations, including the "Guidelines for Handling Irregular Emotional Relationships of Police Personnel." Accordingly, he was given two demerits. Additionally, for other violations, he received one reprimand and educational counseling. The disciplinary actions have been reported to higher authorities for approval.

Police pointed out that all recent complaints have been investigated one by one. Among them, the unauthorized entry of a woman into the governor's residence will result in severe disciplinary action according to law, including a demerit or higher.

Police stated that any illegal or disciplinary violations or actions that damage the reputation of the police will be handled with the principles of transparency, no cover-ups, and accountability according to law.
