The American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) stated that this demonstrates Taiwan's indispensable role in the global supply chain and embodies the deep friendship between the people of the United States and Taiwan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a press release in the evening stating that Taiwan and the United States continue to deepen exchanges in trade, technology, education, and supply chain cooperation. To enhance services for Taiwanese businesses and expatriates in the US and to promote bilateral investment between Taiwan and the US, it has been decided to establish the "Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Phoenix" in Phoenix, Arizona.
