Taipei, July 6 (CNA) Terminal manufacturer Jian Tong Precision has initiated its second-generation succession plan. Today, it announced that General Manager and Head of Research and Development He Yilin is retiring, and the position of General Manager will be filled by Su Liwen, daughter of Chairman Su Dunli and currently Jian Tong's Senior Special Assistant.
Additionally, the vacant position of Head of Research and Development left by He Yilin's retirement will be taken over by Jian Tong's Vice General Manager Lin Yumin.
Jian Tong has been actively pursuing upgrades and transformation in recent years, entering new markets for special copper materials. The special new copper material refining plant it built in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, can produce oxygen-free copper with an oxygen content below 3ppm, achieving better conductivity and heat dissipation. After several years of cultivation, this effort is beginning to bear fruit.
With special copper materials now accounting for 30% of the company's revenue, Jian Tong's revenue for the first five months of this year reached NT$1.987 billion, a year-on-year increase of 63.18%. In the first quarter, net profit attributable to the parent company was NT$18.941 million, ending a previous streak of six consecutive quarters of losses, with a net profit per share of NT$0.11 for the quarter.
