AI Booms, CIG's June and Q2 Revenue Hit New Highs

(CNA) - Telecom broadband equipment manufacturer CIG (Censtar Information Group) today announced its June revenue reached NT$7.27 billion, an increase of 12.2% from May and a significant 70.8% year-on-year surge. In the second quarter, revenue was NT$20.61 billion, up 23.8% from the first quarter and 68.8% year-on-year.

CIG's cumulative revenue from January to June was NT$37.26 billion, an increase of 58.1% compared to the same period last year. The company set new revenue records for the month of June, the second quarter, and the first half of the year.

CIG stated that the booming development of AI (Artificial Intelligence) has driven a surge in network data traffic, accelerating the demand for network equipment upgrades. Concurrently, the increasing popularity of emerging broadband services such as video streaming entertainment, smart IoT, and remote monitoring applications has boosted business opportunities for telecom broadband equipment providers, leading to robust overall market demand.

CIG pointed out that to meet the demands of service expansion, telecom operators are accelerating the upgrade of customer-premises equipment to seize business opportunities and further expand their operational scale. The company's main products include Cable DOCSIS 4.0 equipment, 10G PON fiber optic equipment, 5G FWA fixed wireless access equipment, WiFi 7 wireless equipment, and enterprise-grade network communication equipment, with strong customer order demand.

In addition to its existing main products, CIG is actively entering new market areas such as edge AI smart surveillance devices and DAA (Distributed Access Architecture) equipment, diversifying its product offerings to meet the needs of telecom customers. (Editor: Chang Chun-mao) 1150706
