Taipei, July 7 (CNA) - Driven by shipments of artificial intelligence (AI) servers and notebook computers, contract manufacturer Quanta Computer announced today that its consolidated revenue for June was approximately NT$385.191 billion, an increase of 23.7% month-on-month and 1.02 times year-on-year, setting a new single-month record. In the second quarter, revenue surpassed NT$1 trillion for the first time, reaching NT$1.036593 trillion, a 28.1% increase quarter-on-quarter and 1.05 times year-on-year, marking a historical high for a single quarter.
Quanta's notebook shipments in June reached 4.5 million units, an increase of 1 million units from the previous month. In the second quarter, notebook shipments were 11.5 million units, a 15% increase quarter-on-quarter and a 5% decrease year-on-year.
Quanta told CNA that its outlook for notebook shipments in the third quarter is conservative, mainly due to continued component price increases this year. Some customers are preparing to raise end-product prices, which may affect market demand, potentially leading to a "weak peak season" in the second half of the year. Quanta estimates that full-year notebook shipments in 2026 will decrease by a high single-digit percentage (approximately 7% to 9%) to a double-digit percentage year-on-year.
Regarding server products, Quanta stated that revenue from general-purpose servers is expected to increase by a double-digit percentage year-on-year for the full year, while revenue from AI servers will double. (Editor: Chang Chun-mao) 1150707
