(Central News Agency, reporter Cai Zhiming, Yunlin County, July 7) The Yunlin County Government's Cultural and Tourism Affairs Bureau is launching a themed book exhibition titled "Literary Flavors on the Dining Table" during the summer vacation. Focusing on food literature, the exhibition combines immersive exhibition design, interactive experience installations, and celebrity lectures to guide the public into Yunlin's local stories and cultural memories.

The Cultural and Tourism Affairs Bureau stated in a press release today that Yunlin's offerings, from the sugarcane fragrance of Huwei Township, the coffee of Gukeng Township, and the pickled vegetables of Dapi Township to the fresh seafood of coastal fishing villages, each dish carries the memory of the land and the emotions of generations. Through the themed book exhibition "Literary Flavors on the Dining Table: Sealing a Table of Local Flavors and Memories Between the Pages," the public can re-understand Yunlin through its food culture.

Director of Cultural and Tourism Affairs, Xie Mingxuan, stated that this year's curatorial concept is "sealed flavor," symbolizing how food seals memories and literature preserves emotions. The exhibition features selected works by local writers such as Song Zelai, Zhong Wenyin, Wang Dafeng, and You Shuru, combined with interactive installations and immersive environmental design, making it easy for children to understand the descriptions in the books.

In addition, the Cultural and Tourism Affairs Bureau is hosting two "Food Literature Series Lectures." On the 25th, writer Hong Zhenyu will speak on "Ocean and Black Gold in a Sugar Cube City: Sensory Practices of Yunlin's Local Design," exploring sugarcane culture, black bean soy sauce, and stories from coastal fishing villages. On the 26th, writer Liu Kexiang will share "The Taste of Yunlin's Home Mountains: Local Flavors Seen from the Market," exploring the cultural stories and life wisdom behind everyday food through market observations and field research.

Xie Mingxuan said that she is grateful for the support and sponsorship of the Fengtai Cultural and Educational Foundation for the themed book exhibition. This is the third consecutive year the foundation has partnered with Yunlin Public Libraries to promote themed book exhibitions. The exhibition will be on display in the first-floor lobby of the Cultural and Tourism Affairs Bureau until December 31st. (Editor: Li Mingzong) 1150707
