Russia's invasion of Ukraine key news
(Central News Agency, Kyiv, July 7, Comprehensive Foreign News) Russia continued its attacks on Ukraine today. AFP reporters witnessed a series of explosions in the capital, Kyiv. At the same time, the President of Ukraine attended a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit, calling on allies to assist Ukraine's air defense capabilities.
AFP reporters pointed out that the first loud explosion was heard in Kyiv before the air raid siren sounded, followed by four more explosions.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that warehouses and "non-residential buildings" in two districts of the capital caught fire due to missile attacks.
This is the latest wave of attacks by Russia after launching multiple missiles at Kyiv on the 6th, which resulted in 30 deaths across Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, attending the NATO summit in Ankara, urged supporters to provide more assistance with air defense systems for Ukraine. Currently, Ukraine is facing difficulties in intercepting Russian missiles due to a shortage of crucial interceptor missiles.
Although Ukraine can cope with Russia's large-scale drone attacks, its air defense capabilities are gradually being depleted. Facing Russia's new strategy of intensively bombarding Kyiv with ballistic missiles, Ukraine is struggling to cope. (Intern Compiler: Luo Yien / Editor: Chen Yuting) 1150708
