(CNA, Taipei, July 8) As Typhoon Bavi continues to approach Taiwan, the Taipei City Department of Information and Tourism announced today that to ensure public safety and the integrity of event facilities, the Spider-Man themed installations and riverside lighting for the "2026 Dadaocheng Summer Festival" will be temporarily removed. They will be reinstalled later depending on weather conditions.

The Department of Information and Tourism also stated that the "2026 Dadaocheng Summer Festival" will be held from July 25 to August 15 at Yanping Riverside Park, Dadaocheng Wharf. This year's festival collaborates with the international IP "Spider-Man." Large Spider-Man installations and lighting have been set up at the Plaza of Water Gate No. 5, along Yanping Riverside Park, and in the Dihua Street commercial district, attracting visitors for photos. In response to the approaching Typhoon Bavi, which may pose public safety risks, these will be temporarily removed. (Editor: Chen Ching-fang) 0708115
