(CNA, reporter Wang Hong-kuo, New Taipei City, July 8) The New Taipei City Labor Affairs Bureau announced that to alleviate the financial difficulties faced by children of unemployed workers attending university, those who have successfully applied for the second semester's tuition subsidy for children of unemployed workers from the Ministry of Labor can now apply for an additional living subsidy, with a maximum subsidy of NT$9,800.
The Labor Affairs Bureau issued a press release stating that unemployed workers who were involuntarily dismissed and have children attending private universities or colleges in Taiwan, and have been approved for the second semester's tuition subsidy for children of unemployed workers for the 114 academic year from the Ministry of Labor, can now apply to the Labor Affairs Bureau for a living subsidy.
The Labor Affairs Bureau stated that applications for the living subsidy will be accepted from today until August 7. The maximum subsidy is NT$9,800. Combined with the NT$26,000 subsidy from the Ministry of Labor, the total can reach NT$35,800, aiming to ease the economic burden on unemployed workers. (Editor: Li Shu-hua) 1150708
