New Taipei Fire Department Searched, 3 People Detained by Prosecutors and Investigators

(Central News Agency, Taipei, July 8) This morning, the New Taipei District Prosecutors Office, under the command of the New Taipei City Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Justice Investigation Agency, conducted a search at the New Taipei City Fire Department. Earlier, three people, including a section chief surnamed Shang, were detained. The case is being investigated under the Anti-Corruption Act.

The New Taipei City Fire Department responded that if illegal activities are involved, they will not be tolerated. As the case involves investigation confidentiality, they will fully cooperate with the prosecutors and investigators, ensuring justice is served.
