(Central News Agency, Taipei, July 8) Kuomintang New Taipei City mayoral candidate Li Shih-chuan today unveiled his industrial platform, hoping to build an AI technology corridor and solve land shortage issues to retain businesses in New Taipei. Democratic Progressive Party candidate Su Chiao-hui focused on transportation issues, promising to implement transportation equity and protect the commuting rights of residents in remote areas.

Li Shih-chuan visited the New Taipei City Industrial Park and exchanged ideas with manufacturers today, releasing his "4 Arrows of Industrial Policy." The first arrow aims to build an AI technology corridor by constructing the Luoshe Bridge to connect with the Taipei Science Park, and integrating Provincial Highway 64 and Provincial Highway 65 to enhance regional transportation. Simultaneously, the plan includes expanding the Baogao Smart Park, creating the Daganyuan industrial cluster, and developing the New Taipei International AI+ Smart Park to attract international AI industries.

The second arrow addresses the shortage of industrial land. This includes promoting the development of the second and third phases of the Tamsui New Town and high-tech industrial zones. The area around the Wugu Interchange will increase industrial land supply through land readjustment and integrated development. The policy also plans for "industrial zones for rent only, not for sale," where the government will construct standard factory buildings and customized factory-office spaces for businesses to use, thereby encouraging companies to stay in New Taipei.

Li Shih-chuan stated that New Taipei currently has over 50 key drone manufacturers. Therefore, the third arrow aims to establish New Taipei as a major drone industry hub. A complete industrial chain for drone research and development, manufacturing, testing, and application will be planned, combined with a talent cultivation mechanism, to transform New Taipei into Taiwan's drone industry development center and a demonstration city for the low-altitude economy.

Li Shih-chuan introduced the fourth arrow, which will establish a second e-sports base centered around the existing New Taipei E-sports Base. It will also promote campus e-sports, AI application education, and tech sports like drone soccer to cultivate digital talent, making New Taipei a leading AI e-sports hub in Asia.

In addition, Democratic Progressive Party New Taipei City mayoral candidate Su Chiao-hui attended a press conference today to sign a transportation improvement commitment white paper, joining other county and city mayoral candidates from her party to focus on transportation reform.

She stated that in recent years, she has been dedicated to improving sidewalks, with a particular emphasis on school access paths. From San Duo Elementary School and Wen Lin Elementary School in Shulin, to Fengming Junior High School in Yingge and Guanghua Elementary School in Xinzhuang, she has secured central government funding to improve school access paths.

Su Chiao-hui said that in addition to accelerating the improvement of school access paths, she will also implement "transportation equity" by increasing the frequency of "Happy Bus" services and integrating a digital reservation platform to provide point-to-point transportation, thereby safeguarding the commuting rights of children and the elderly in remote areas.
