Chen Ke-yi bounces back with 6.1 scoreless innings, Fubon Guardians suffer first 4-game losing streak

(CNA Taipei, July 8) Rakuten Monkeys pitcher Chen Ke-yi, who was hit hard in his previous start against the Fubon Guardians, pitched 6.1 scoreless innings against them today, helping his team to a narrow 1-0 victory. The Guardians were handed their first four-game losing streak of the season. Chen Ke-yi said, "I pitched poorly last time, and I really wanted to redeem myself today."

Monkeys starting pitcher Chen Ke-yi threw 87 pitches over 6.1 innings today, allowing 2 hits and striking out 6 batters. He continued to pitch in the 7th inning but issued two walks, but Su Chun-chang held the runners, allowing Chen Ke-yi to leave the mound scoreless.
