According to official Chinese statistics, Macau ranked first among the top 10 most satisfying tourist destinations for Chinese outbound travelers last year, with Hong Kong ranking fourth.

The Tourism Research Institute, under China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, yesterday released the "Top 10 Destinations for Chinese Outbound Tourists Satisfaction in 2025." Hong Kong rose from 6th place last year to 4th, while Macau retained its top position for the second consecutive year. The top 10 best destinations in order are Macau, New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Argentina, Spain, Singapore, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom.

Hong Kong's Ta Kung Pao reported today, quoting tourism industry professionals, that Hong Kong's rising ranking reflects the continuous improvement in the overall service standards of the tourism industry. It is recommended that Hong Kong appropriately learn from Macau's experience, improve its offerings for in-depth tours, attract more repeat visitors, and optimize the traveler experience.

According to figures from the Hong Kong Tourism Board, in the first five months of this year, visitor arrivals to Hong Kong were 22,989,794, an increase of 14.1% compared to the same period last year. Mainland Chinese tourists accounted for more than half, reaching 17,670,354 arrivals. (Editor: Chou Hui-ying) 1150708
