Meta Launches AI Image Generation Model Muse Image in Taiwan

(CNA) Taipei, July 8 - Meta announced today the launch of Muse Image, its first image generation model developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs. It is now available within Meta AI, with related features initially rolled out in Taiwan and select countries, and will be progressively expanded to more regions.

Meta's announcement today explained that the Muse Image model can transform inspiration into visual content. Users can download and share their creations on any platform, including direct posting to News Feed, Stories, or chats. They can also use over 30 new AI effects in Instagram Stories, or send messages to Meta AI in WhatsApp to generate images directly within conversations.

Meta stated that whether starting from scratch or editing an existing photo, Muse Image can assist in creation by simply using everyday text descriptions of the desired scene. For example, users can try asking Muse Image to generate a simulated photo of themselves standing in front of a historical landmark, with pedestrians in the background precisely removed.

Meta pointed out that users can also take a photo of a room and ask Meta AI to reference real products found online or on Facebook Marketplace to help redesign the space. Users can specify their preferred style or ask Meta AI for suggestions based on current trends, previewing the effect of the space with its new look.

Meta indicated that Muse Image will be expanded to more countries and Meta AI application scenarios in the future, including Facebook, Messenger, and more interfaces on Instagram and WhatsApp. Within the next few weeks, advertisers and agencies will also be able to utilize Muse Image's capabilities through efficient and rapid creative tools.
