Taipei, July 9 (CNA) Hotung-Tech today announced its unaudited consolidated revenue for June was NT$279 million, a 4% decrease month-on-month but a 30.49% increase year-on-year, reaching a new high for the same period. Unaudited revenue for the second quarter was NT$902 million, a 16.7% increase quarter-on-quarter and a 49.7% increase year-on-year. Cumulative consolidated revenue for the first half of the year reached NT$1.675 billion, a 53.7% increase year-on-year, both setting new records for the same periods.

Looking ahead to this year's operations, Hotung-Tech indicated that global wafer foundries and advanced packaging facilities are expanding production, increasing capital expenditures. Coupled with growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, smart logistics, and material handling, Hotung-Tech's subsystem integration equipment and robotic solutions are experiencing strong order momentum and volume, driving overall business performance.

Regarding June's revenue performance, Hotung-Tech explained that the month-on-month decrease was due to the delayed delivery of raw materials for some orders, with shipments postponed to July. However, driven by the semiconductor industry and smart automation upgrade applications, revenue increased by over 30% year-on-year.

Observing the second quarter revenue performance, Hotung-Tech stated that the revenue contribution from automated parts agency, subsystem integration and equipment, and robots were 35.4%, 56.9%, and 7.68% respectively. Benefiting from the rigid demand for large-scale expansion by global wafer foundries and advanced packaging, orders for Hotung-Tech's self-developed and integrated key automated subsystem integration equipment for semiconductor back-end processes increased, which was the main driver for the enlarged operational scale in the second quarter. Furthermore, the backlog of orders for back-end process equipment continues to grow.

In the robotics sector, Hotung-Tech pointed out its continued focus on functional autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and humanoid robot applications. Functional AMR robot application products have seen a five-fold increase in performance over the past two years, with the first half of this year's shipments increasing by 31.14% year-on-year. Currently, in high-end smart manufacturing or traditional retail sectors, there is rapid growth in demand for functional AMR robots for applications such as in-plant logistics, heavy material handling, and production line automation integration.
