New Taiwan Dollar Plummets 1.04 Jiao at Midday, Temporarily Closing at 32.136 Per Dollar

(CNA Taipei, July 9) The New Taiwan Dollar (NTD) closed at 32.136 against the US Dollar at midday today in the Taipei foreign exchange market, a sharp depreciation of 1.04 jiao, with a turnover of US$1.186 billion.

The NTD opened at 32.04 against the US Dollar today. During morning trading, it reached a high of 32.04 and a low of 32.172. 1150709
