(CNA) - July 9, 2024 - Leading packaging and testing company ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd. announced this afternoon that its consolidated revenue for June was NT$65.783 billion, an increase of 4.4% month-on-month and 32.9% year-on-year. This marks a new high for the same period and the second-highest single-month revenue on record. For the first six months of this year, consolidated revenue was NT$364.725 billion, a 22% increase year-on-year, also a new record high for the period.

ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd. reported self-assessed second-quarter revenue of NT$191.064 billion, a 10% increase quarter-on-quarter and a 26.7% increase year-on-year, setting a new quarterly record. This figure exceeded the company's previous forecast of a 7% to 9% quarter-on-quarter growth.

Specifically, ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd.'s packaging, testing, and materials revenue in June was NT$43.485 billion, up 3.1% month-on-month and 41.8% year-on-year. For the second quarter, packaging, testing, and materials revenue reached NT$126.148 billion, a 12.2% increase quarter-on-quarter and a 36.3% increase year-on-year, surpassing the previous investor conference forecast of a 9% to 11% quarter-on-quarter increase.

Earlier this year, ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd. had projected that its advanced packaging (LEAP) revenue would double to US$3.2 billion by 2025. In its late April investor conference, the company revised this forecast upwards by 10% to US$3.5 billion, with 75% of the revenue expected from packaging and 25% from testing. This growth is primarily attributed to the strong demand from the artificial intelligence (AI) industry for semiconductor packaging and testing services.

ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd. indicated at its shareholder meeting in late June that its capital expenditure for this year might be further increased from the previously estimated US$8.5 billion, and that the second half of the year could hold some pleasant surprises.
