(Central News Agency Reporter Wang Hsin-yu Taipei, July 9) Actor Kai Ko studied Cantonese and gained weight for his role in "I Wish, But I Blow Out the Candles First," and also had to endure constant beatings. He said that in one scene where he was chased and beaten by multiple people, although he had to jump over a railing after gaining 10kg, he not only avoided injury but was also praised for his flexibility during warm-ups.

"I Wish, But I Blow Out the Candles First" released its trailer today. Kai Ko stated through the production crew that in one scene, he was chased by casino enforcers and then trampled and beaten on the ground, appearing quite miserable. However, due to the professional stunt coordinator on set, no injuries occurred. "But I haven't exercised in a long time, so I had to stretch before filming. Surprisingly, everyone praised me for being very flexible."

Kai Ko's character in the film is a "loser" burdened by mortgage pressure. He revealed that before shooting, he would have in-depth discussions with the director and offer different ways of portraying the character, "letting the director decide. For me, the final presentation will always return to the director's vision for the entire film, so the initial focus is relatively important."

Director Hu Chin-yen said the core of the story is about friendship, where two lonely individuals experience harsh realities but are not as evil as true villains. However, through this process, they learn to cherish each other. Director Chou Chu-hung said, "Or you could say, when your friend is feeling down, perhaps you can't give them much, but at least you can make them laugh at that moment."
