(CNA, Taipei, July 9) E-TAY Industrial Co., Ltd., Taiwan's largest water filter manufacturer, announced its consolidated revenue for June was NT$992 million, an increase of 3.63% month-on-month and a decrease of 5.21% year-on-year. E-TAY Industrial stated that it is optimistic about the huge convenience store coffee market driving demand for commercial water treatment equipment.
E-TAY Industrial explained that the year-on-year decrease in June revenue was mainly due to changes in product mix. However, water resource product shipments remained stable, and commercial water purification equipment has been gradually introduced into Taiwanese chain breakfast shops, catering businesses, and convenience store channels, driving a continuous increase in demand for filter cartridge replacements.
E-TAY pointed out that the momentum for commercial water purification continues to heat up. As the certification processes for channel customers are completed, shipments are expected to gradually increase from the end of the year. Taiwan's catering consumption is moving towards "high frequency, ready-to-drink, and standardized" development. According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the operating revenue of the catering industry reached NT$94.7 billion in May 2026, an annual increase of 4.8%, with beverage stores increasing by 8.4% annually. From January to May this year, the catering industry's operating revenue reached NT$464.2 billion, an annual increase of 4.1%. Freshly brewed beverages have upgraded from convenient consumption to a daily necessity.
E-TAY Industrial cited statistics from the International Coffee Organization (ICO) showing that the average annual coffee consumption per person in Taiwan has exceeded 180 cups, an increase of nearly 50% in three years. Taking convenience store coffee as an example, FamilyMart's Let’s Café has an annual sales volume exceeding 200 million cups, and Uni-President Supermarket's CITY series services are available in over 3,500 locations across Taiwan, with overall product growth exceeding 10%. As June enters the prelude to the summer beverage peak season, the usage frequency of iced drinks, coffee, tea drinks, and ice-making equipment increases simultaneously, continuously raising the water load per store, directly amplifying the demand for commercial water treatment equipment and filter cartridges.
