(CNA) Taipei, July 9 - Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim met with a bipartisan delegation of Panamanian congressional members today. She stated that the two countries have had a friendly and close partnership in the past and expressed hope that both sides will continue to discuss how to deepen cooperation in various fields in the future.
The Presidential Office issued a press release stating that Vice President Hsiao met with the "Bipartisan Congressional Delegation of Panama" this morning, sincerely welcoming the Panamanian congressional members to Taiwan, to get to know Taiwan, and to jointly strengthen bilateral partnerships.
Vice President Hsiao said that Panama, like Taiwan, has a small land area but plays a key hub role in its respective region. The two countries have had a friendly and close partnership in the past and expressed hope that both sides will continue to discuss how to deepen cooperation in various fields in the future.
