Among these, the insurrection leader case, considered the most serious, resulted in a life sentence in the first instance on February 19th of this year, and is currently undergoing its second instance trial at the Seoul High Court.
In the case of alleged fabrication of an emergency martial law order to direct the "deployment of drones to Pyongyang operation" under the charge of general enemy aiding, Yoon Suk-yeol was sentenced to 30 years in prison in the first instance on June 12th. Yoon Suk-yeol appealed this sentence on the day of the verdict, and the first hearing of the second instance trial will be held on the 15th.
