To prevent potential issues, Keelung City's Dawulun Beach, Haixing Swimming Pool, and Chaodijing Marine Protected Area were preemptively closed starting at 5 PM today. Additionally, all scenic areas under the jurisdiction of Yilan County Government have made preparations for disaster prevention.

The Keelung City Government stated that strong winds and large waves are expected along Keelung's coast starting tomorrow. To prevent potential issues, starting at 5 PM today, warning lines have been set up at key coastal and water activity locations in Keelung City, including Dawulun Beach, Haixing Swimming Pool, and Chaodijing Marine Protected Area, preemptively closing these areas and strictly prohibiting public entry. Concurrently, all ferry services to and from Keelung Island have been suspended, and all island-visiting tours have been canceled. The public and relevant operators are urged to cooperate with disaster prevention measures.

Furthermore, the water park activities currently being held at Nuannuan Riverside Park will be temporarily closed on July 11th and 12th.

The Yilan County Government announced that in response to the approaching Typhoon Bavi, disaster prevention operations have been carried out today at all scenic areas under its jurisdiction. The water gates at Dongshan River Water Park have been installed to prevent rising river water from flowing into the park, and the water pumps have been tested. Additionally, sightseeing boats in other parks have been moved ashore, and the characters at the Muji Square in Yilan City have been covered with canvas for typhoon protection.

Yilan County Acting Magistrate Lin Maosheng stated in a press release that after the Central Weather Bureau issued a sea typhoon warning this afternoon, all departments and relevant units of the county government have entered the disaster response center. The county government has fully activated all disaster prevention and preparedness work. In addition to continuously inventorying pumping equipment, flood control facilities, and rescue personnel for flood control capacity, all units have been instructed to strengthen patrols in flood-prone areas, underpasses, and low-lying areas to eliminate potential disaster-causing factors in advance.

He said that the county government will continue to monitor the latest situation regarding mountain roads, rivers, and potential landslide areas, and will complete preparations for supplies, medical care, and evacuation in isolated areas in advance. Furthermore, the county government has requested all township and city offices to confirm the capacity for opening evacuation shelters and the readiness of supplies, and to continuously update information on elderly individuals living alone and vulnerable groups, initiating care measures promptly when necessary.
