8 PLA warships, 20 PLA aircraft intrude Taiwan's ADIZ, ROC Armed Forces monitor

(CNA) Taipei, July 9 - The Ministry of National Defense (MND) today released information on People's Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft and naval vessels' activities. From 6 a.m. yesterday to 6 a.m. today, 8 PLA warships, 5 coast guard vessels, and 20 PLA aircraft were detected crossing the median line and intruding into the northern, central, and southwestern airspaces. The ROC Armed Forces are closely monitoring and responding with mission aircraft, naval vessels, and shore-based missile systems.

The MND released the PLA aircraft and naval vessels' activities this morning. From 6 a.m. yesterday to 6 a.m. today, 8 PLA warships, 5 coast guard vessels, and 28 PLA aircraft were detected. Among them, 20 PLA aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait median line into the northern, central, and southwestern airspaces and continued to operate around the Taiwan Strait.
