(Central News Agency reporter Wang Hung-kuo, New Taipei, 13th) The New Taipei City Health Bureau announced today that the Chung-Lien tainted oil incident has expanded. To safeguard public food safety, over 21,000 kilograms of oil products have been removed from shelves. Today, two additional products—'Fushou Peanut Flavor Essence Blend Oil 2L (Expiry Date: 2028.1.8)' and 'Fushou Unsaturated Soybean Salad Oil 2L (Expiry Date: 2028.4.10)'—were reported to have benzo[a]pyrene levels exceeding safety standards. The Chung-Lien oil batch numbers used in these products are 318-1150406 and 314-1150410, respectively. The Health Bureau is actively tracing the distribution channels of these affected products and updating information on impacted downstream businesses to prevent further circulation in the market.
