According to Central News Agency (CNA) in Taipei on the 13th, the Taipei stock market closed up 25.91 points today, reaching 45,380.52 points, a 0.06% increase, with a total trading value of NT$1.0125716 trillion.
The weighted index opened at 45,500.32 points, with an intraday high of 46,330.91 points and a low of 45,272.90 points. The non-financial index closed at 40,775.83 points, up 42.32 points.
Performance of the eight major sectors: Cement & ceramics stocks down 0.61%, food stocks up 0.26%, petrochemical stocks up 3.86%, textile stocks down 0.29%, machinery & electronics stocks down 0.06%, paper stocks down 3.36%, construction stocks up 0.46%, and financial stocks down 0.49%.
Buy orders totaled 20,404,611 shares, sell orders 14,627,423 shares, with 11,021,461 shares traded.
At closing, 379 stocks rose, 662 declined, and 62 remained unchanged.
The top five most actively traded stocks were AU Optronics (AUO), Innolux Corporation, KGI Taiwan Weighted Index Leveraged 2X, Yuanta Taiwan Top 50 2X, and Active United Taiwan Stock Growth.
The top five gainers were Largan Precision, Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation, Chun Yu, Jazztek, and Unimicron Technology.
The top five decliners were Realtek Semiconductor, Futai Precision Industry, Taisun Industrial, Pei Young Electronics, and Walsin Technology.
