Changhua's First Youth Housing in Yuanlin Completed: 1-Bedroom Units from NT$3.69 Million to Support Young Families

(Central News Agency reporter Wu Che-hao, Changhua, July 13) The youth housing project in Yuanlin, Changhua, held its completion ceremony today, marking the successful completion of the county's first youth residential development. Changhua County Magistrate Wang Hui-mei presided over the ceremony, stating that to alleviate housing pressure on young people, the project offers 1-bedroom units starting at NT$3.69 million and 2-bedroom units at NT$7.98 million, supporting youth in building families and achieving their dreams.

The Changhua County Government hosted the 'Yuanlin Youth Housing Completion Ceremony' today, attended by Magistrate Wang Hui-mei, Kuomintang Legislative Yuan member Hsieh Yi-feng, and Yuanlin Acting Mayor Lai Chih-fu.

In her speech, Magistrate Wang stated that the Yuanlin Youth Housing marks a significant milestone in the county's youth housing policy, being the first such project in Changhua. The total construction cost exceeded NT$278 million, fully funded by county funds. The building comprises eight above-ground floors and one underground floor, with 14 one-bedroom units, 28 two-bedroom units, totaling 42 residential units. Additionally, an infant care center has been established to support young families in balancing childcare responsibilities.

Wang emphasized that after opening applications, the project received 1,064 applications within just one month, demonstrating strong demand among youth for affordable, high-quality housing. The county government will continue advancing youth housing projects in Shengang, Xihu, and Hemei, aiming to build a 'city of hope' where more young people can confidently start families, develop stably, and pursue their dreams.

According to the county government, the Yuanlin Youth Housing is located on Tiaohe Street in Sanjiao Village, Yuanlin City. Situated within Yuanlin's urban living zone, it offers excellent transportation access and daily life convenience. Public facilities and lifestyle functions have been planned with youth needs at the core.
