(CNA reporter Tsao Ya-Yen, New Taipei, July 13) — The cultural organization Lüxué Táng has launched a summer stamp collection treasure hunt, linking 22特色 stores along the Danhai Light Rail. The initiative aims to encourage visitors to explore Tamsui’s stories through map-based missions, transforming passive passersby into engaged visitors, while helping small and micro businesses use digital tools to retain customers and boost repeat visits.

Lüxué Táng Studio recently released a press statement announcing the launch of the 'Danhai Travel & Learn Stamp Collection Treasure Hunt' from now until October 15. Centered on the Danhai Light Rail as a tourism corridor, participants can ride the light rail and visit partner stores using the event map. By scanning QR codes inside each store, visitors complete stamp collection tasks. Collecting three stamps grants eligibility for a prize draw.

The partner stores span diverse categories including accommodation, dining, desserts, souvenirs, independent bookstores, and cultural experiences. At show233 Self-Service Art Studio, travelers can paint scenes of the Tamsui River mouth, sunsets, and old street views without bringing their own supplies, turning memories into tangible keepsakes. Taipei Traveler International Youth Hostel serves as a starting point for international backpackers exploring Tamsui. Stores such as British Grandma, Wulunruhe Independent Bookstore, Sunset Moonrise Agar Jelly, and Deyu Fish Crackers each carry unique local stories.

Lüxué Táng notes that while Tamsui sees ample foot traffic, the real challenge lies in turning 'passing through' into 'stepping in.' This event is a key implementation of the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ 2026 Small and Micro Enterprise Digital Transformation Program, 'Danhai Light Travel & Learn Digital Station.' Using the Danhai Light Rail one-day pass as a medium, tourists enter stores, and stores use digital tools to record visitor interactions. In the future, LINE push notifications can deliver event updates and discounts, ensuring local gems in Tamsui not only gain visibility but also earn opportunities for repeat visits.
