Central News Agency reports that Typhoon Bavi triggered multiple landslides along Miaoli County's Provincial Highway 21, leaving Donghe Village completely isolated. To address urgent supply needs, young members of the Luchang tribe successfully shot arrows attached with thin ropes across the river to the Luhu and Lushan tribes, establishing a makeshift but functional supply line.

The Nanzhuang Township Office's emergency response center confirmed that landslides have blocked the road section from Shihpi Bridge to Fairy Valley, cutting off external access. Twelve residents in Luhu Village remain stranded, though their health conditions are stable. Essential supplies are being delivered via airdrop.

Baiho Watan, an independent Miaoli County councilor, explained that Luchang Village has a convenience store and is relatively well-stocked. Due to the absence of a line-throwing gun, the youth innovatively used bows and arrows capable of shooting over 30 meters. By tying ropes to arrows and launching them across, they enabled the receiving side to secure the line and begin transporting supplies.

The youth on both sides have established a communication protocol: whenever someone on the isolated side calls for help, supplies are promptly sent across. Notably, electricity remains uninterrupted, allowing mobile phone communication and timely coordination. The situation remains stable, though road restoration timelines are uncertain due to the severity of the damage.
