(CNA reporter Chen Jung-shen, Taipei, July 13) The third stage of the 'League of Legends' Pacific Championship (LCP) will return on July 25, with the Swiss system being used for the first time. Teams will not only compete for the championship title but also fight for tickets to the World Championship.

The LCP league announced today that the final stage of the season will officially kick off on July 25 and run through August 30. The LCP Taipei Finals Weekend will be held at the Taipei Heping Basketball Arena on August 29 and 30 to determine the two teams that will advance to the World Championship.

The LCP league stated that the third stage will adopt the Swiss system for the first time, aiming to bring fresh excitement to the competition. In the first round, the top four teams will be randomly matched against the bottom four. Subsequent rounds will pair teams with identical win-loss records via draw, continuing until a team achieves three wins (to advance to playoffs) or suffers three losses (elimination).

The four teams advancing to the playoffs will compete in a best-of-five double-elimination format to secure two World Championship slots. Additionally, the team with the highest accumulated championship points at the end of the season will also qualify for the World Championship. In case of a tie in championship points, the playoff ranking from Stage 3 will be the primary tiebreaker, with Swiss stage performance used as a secondary criterion if necessary.

Furthermore, the LCP Promotion Qualifiers are scheduled for November 10–13. Up to three guest teams will face top teams from regional leagues across the Asia-Pacific to defend their LCP league spots. Guest teams that qualify for the World Championship will be exempt from participating in the Promotion Qualifiers. (Edited by Li Shu-hua) 1150713
