(Central News Agency, Almeria, Spain, December 12 —综合 international reports) A massive wildfire that began on September 9 in Almeria province, southeastern Spain, has continued to rage, and the Andalusia regional government announced tonight that a 93-year-old British woman has died from severe injuries, bringing the death toll to 13.

According to Reuters, the woman was one of eight patients hospitalized after the fire, four of whom remain in critical condition.

The Andalusia government stated in a press release that the woman had pre-existing medical conditions and was admitted to the emergency room in the early hours of the 10th with burns covering 20% of her body.

Antonio Sanz, Andalusia’s Minister for Emergency Affairs, expressed condolences to the families of all victims, including the deceased woman.

The wildfire has scorched over 7,000 hectares in the area of Los Gallardos, making it one of the deadliest wildfires in Spain’s history.

Spain’s Forensic Identification Center (CID) announced tonight that, following the initiation of cooperation with authorities in France, the UK, and Belgium, two additional missing persons have been reported, raising the total number of missing to 10.

CID also stated that a new system now allows relatives of foreign nationals abroad to report missing loved ones and submit DNA samples to their home countries, anticipating more reports of missing persons in the coming days.

Since Spanish authorities have not yet officially confirmed the identities of the deceased, some of the currently reported missing individuals may already be among the dead. (Intern translator: Huang Yu-Han / Editor: Chang Cheng-Chien) 1150713
